Australia Grants for Applications for Destination 2021 scholarships are now open to eligible professional and higher education service providers.
The Destination Australia Program is intended to inspire domestic and overseas students to study in regional Australia, to raise and change regional Australian tertiary teaching providers and to offer high-quality education experience.
Higher education and vocational education earners with a campus located in regional Australia may be qualified to apply for scholarships up to $15,000/year to study at that campus.
Over $17 million in scholarships offered 2021-2022 to support scholarships for up to four years (over $4.24 million per year for four years), declared by the Hon Dan Tehan MP, Education Minster with press on 12 May 2020.
In 2021, the program will help regional and reserved Australian education providers and groups to claim from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, conveying students and economic activity to the local area.
Education providers apply for scholarship grants over a competitive grant’s application process. The Community Grants Hub manages the Destination Australia 2021 grant round. The application form must be done and submitted online electronically.
The Destination Australia Program defines a regional location as any area outside of Major Cities of Australia, in line with the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure.
How do students can apply for a scholarship?
Students will be able to apply for a 2021 scholarship once education service providers are announced, effective in early October 2020. Students can apply for scholarships through a successful tertiary education consultant.
Destination Australia 2020
The Destination Australia Program in 2020 provided 1180 scholarships through 35 providers at 81 locations in regional Australia.
